Light the fuse at the bottom with your ship thrusters to reveal this artifact. Each of the four worlds are split up into four levels that are interconnected with each other. The UMD, or Universal Media Disc, was the physical distribution method for the PSP. Rather than using cartridges, the PSP is one of the only handhelds to use optical media for the task. UMDs weren’t just for games, as Sony released many movies and even a few TV shows on the format to be viewed on the handheld, most famously Spider-Man 2. Thorough exploration and careful navigation are key to finding every piece‚ ensuring you don’t miss any hidden gems. Astro Playroom features unique challenges that test your skills and speed. Speedrun-related trophies‚ like Blinding Speed‚ require completing levels as fast as possible‚ often under strict time limits. Special challenges involve precise platforming or completing sections without taking damage. These tasks demand mastery of Astro’s movement mechanics and knowledge of optimized routes.

It’s clear that gamers love these little bots, and the excitement for them now is that their full-fledged PS5 game, Astro Bot, is coming in a few weeks. Astro’s Playroom is more than a demo as its charm and gameplay shine through to every player. But once you do dive in, there’s no shortage of joy that comes from how Team Asobi has translated in-game surfaces, objects, and movement into different DualSense sensations. Need to get back to it for the special bots, downloaded it the other day but just haven’t got around to it. (LeMans and other duties) @BrettAwesome It’s been updated, hasn’t it. It seems the special bots are integrated into the guide as opposed to being tacked on as an addendum.

Before you can start this path, travel to the opposite end of the beach from where the final starfish was and knock over a blue item to reveal a racing wheel. On that platform, there will be a small jutting rockface on its left, which when walked on, will reveal the Special Bot. This one references the PS5 game Returnal, and gives you the hint using an image of an astronaut.

You’ll see a bot holding a camera throughout the levels as they record their companions as fellow PlayStation characters. For example, you’ll see bots dressed up as Kratos and Atreus from God of War trying to row a boat. You’ll even see a bot dressed up as Snake from Metal Gear Solid, and when you kick the box, it makes the classic alert sound each time you kick.

The illusion is incredible, making me feel way more connected to the events on screen than I would without this tension. Adding the PS5 Pro Artifact could be a good excuse for players to return to Astro’s Playroom. The game also has one of the easiest platinum trophies on PS5, so completing all levels can be quite rewarding as well. To unlock the ability to find and collect all the Special Bots in Astro’s Playroom, you must have reached and completed the 1994 Throwback stage. This is the final stage and section of the game, so you must complete the game’s main objective so that these special bots will be available to collect.

PlayStation and Team Asobi have dropped a surprise update for Astro’s Playroom in celebration of the reveal of its full-fledged Astro title, Astro Bot. I hope all of our Astro’s Playroom content helps you through the game. Stand at the edge of the level and throw the projectile towards it to reveal the location of the bot. First, activate the first two rope bridges by pulling the wires out of the ground. Now, return to the starting area, and to the side, you’ll find another set of wires, which gives you a projectile with a net inside. If done successfully, the Gran Turismo Special Bot and the “Grand Tourist” trophy will unlock.
