The controller cames packed with a lot of new technology, making it incredibly unique. LUCK8 showed off its capabilities while being a fun little game all on its own. In the PS1 at the start of the level, there’s a memory card with “Ken’s” written on it. This is a reference to Ken Kutaragi, the father of the PlayStation. It was he who developed the SNES sound chip for Nintendo, which led to the Play Station add-on for the system. When this partnership fell through, Kutaragi persevered and developed it into a standalone console, resulting in the original PlayStation.
Astro running across a sandy beach sounds and feels completely different than running on a fluffy cloud, for example. I can’t say I had very high expectations for Astro’s Playroom, a game that comes free with every PlayStation 5 console. I figured it might be a cute series of minigames, akin to the robot-themed minigames in the PlayStation 4’s pack-in title, The Playroom.
Other stages are linear platforming challenges that use Astro’s laser-powered hover-jump. These portions are also pretty forgiving, with generous checkpoints and obstacles that provide just enough resistance to make you pause a moment, but not so much that you get stuck. Plus, it’s hard to get too mad with the game’s infectiously upbeat soundtrack going in the background. We hope you enjoy these updates as much as we had fun making them!

Look over the edge of the island to see a blue aura in the clouds. Some children might feel frustrated with different game levels or obstacles. Talk to them about recognising when it’s time to take a break and turn their attention somewhere else. Often, when they come back relaxed, they’re more likely to find success.

Astro’s Playroom – Cooling Springs Ps5 4k Gameplay
The speed of the SSD as levels instantly load is impressive, as nothing was this fast with the PlayStation 4. Astro’s Playroom makes the case that the DualSense Controller is the best in all gaming. It perfectly showcases the capabilities of the device in fun and engaging ways.
Astro then for a few seconds begins to rotate and hit everything in reach. Remember, you unlock a set of races by making it to the end of the four main zones, meaning this Trophy isn’t possible until you do that and open 1994 Throwback, which has the same unlock requirement. Just a few days ago, we added a second Special Bot, Selene, from the PS5 title Returnal. Once again, working together, you were able to crack the riddle and free her to make it 2 out of 4.
Those who hop into Astro’s Playroom today will be met with a message that a “mysterious portal” has opened up in the center of the game’s collectible hub, the PS LABO. It also teases that a selection of gatchas, or collectibles that can be earned via an in-game arcade machine, have been added, too. Maybe the most impressive piece of the PlayStation 5 hardware is its new controller, but it’ll only be as good as the games that support it.
